muna回了信息：“oK，I’m waiting for you at the cross of Virginia Ave and the side street to my house。”

知了回了一句：“thank you，we will be there soon，btw I’m wearing a blue jacket。”

知了和Steve一边抽烟一边往前走着，Steve说：“这条路够陡的啊，有点儿像学校出来去city的那条路了。”

知了则是边走边笑着说：“可以锻炼身体了。”

走到半路的时候，知了远远地看见路边站着一个女人，他不太敢确定是不是muna。但很快就看见对方在向他们招手，没错！是她了。

知了加紧脚步，快速向前移动，然后偷偷地把烟头丢在路边。他走到对方面前，面带笑容地说：“hello muna，I’m J。”

muna看起来个子不高，皮肤黝黑，头发干练地扎成一条辫子，甩在脑后。知了注意到她的眉毛很浓但不粗，眼睛很大，整个人看上去很有亲切感。

muna说了一句：“hello J，I’m glad to meet you here，wele。”

知了这才注意到她的口音，听起来怪怪的，但又说不出来，肯定不是土生土长的新西兰人。他继续说道：“this is my friend，Steve。”说罢，Steve摆动着手掌，说了一句：“hi！”

muna笑着点头示意，然后就带着两人向前走去，一边走一边说：“Are you guys from china？”

知了点头，然后问了一句：“Yes！what about you？where are you from？”

muna笑着说：“we are from Iran，me，my husband and three kids live here。we have a lodger now，and she is from china as well。”

知了没听懂lodger的意思，但他猜了个大概，心想：“就是帮你登广告，昨晚和我联系的那个她吧。”

他们走到一幢房子面前，知了发现这里的房子和homestay很不同，最大的区别是这里的院子都很小，房子是一幢挨着一幢，密度很大。

前面的空地上有许多小孩在玩耍，muna对着其中几个叽里呱啦地不知说着什么，Steve低头笑了起来，知了赶紧捅捅他，意思是笑什么？不要没礼貌！

muna打开房门，邀请他们进屋，然后指着门口的一间房说道：“this is the room for rental，we all live upstairs including the chinese girl。”

然后他们向着里面走去，穿过一段走廊，右手边出现一段楼梯，这是上楼的通道了。再往里面就到了厨房、餐厅、客厅，穿过客厅的玻璃门，知了看到了后面的院子。

他又不自觉地和homestay比较了起来，这个房子只有不大的一个后院，homestay是被一圈院子围在当中，而且院子面积极大。

muna继续带着他们上了楼，说：“we have only one bathroom in the house，so it’s quite busy in the morning。”说着指向一个房间。

然后又转到另一个房间前，打开门说：“this is main bedroom，my husband works out of the town，and normally he es home once a week。”

知了看见床上，地上散落着许多衣服，心想：“真够乱的！她不收拾房间吗？”

muna又打开紧挨着的一个房间，说道：“this is kids’ room，we have two boys and one girl。”知了看到里面是一张上下铺，一张单独的床，也是乱糟糟的。

再旁边也有一个房间，muna说：“this is cathy’s room，she is not home now and the door is locked。”知了心想，原来她的名字叫cathy。

他们再次回到楼下，muna打开那间准备出租的房间，笑呵呵地说：“this is the room for you if possible，and just for your information many people are interesting for it。”

知了站在屋子里，“这里比homestay那个房间要大，而且看起来干净崭新一些。”他心想着，继而说道：“how much for the rental fees？”

muna思索了片刻，问了一句说：“do you cook a lot at home？”

知了一时不知该怎么回答，他确实没想过这个问题，于是说：“I don’t know，maybe every dinner，you know this is my first time to live myself。”

muna笑着说：“how’s your current living situation？homestay？”

知了点头说道：“Yes，I’m living in a homestay now。”

muna又说：“cathy has dinner with us everyday，and you can join us as well，just cost extra dollars per week。”

知了想了想，婉言谢绝了这个提议，他出来租房也是为了省钱，于是说道：“thanks，I would like to cook myself。”

muna耸耸肩，说道：“No problem at all，so the rental fees would be 140 dollars per week，including everything。”

知了不明所以，脱口而出：“Everything？”

muna说：“Yes，everything，like power、water、internet，bla bla bla。”

知了不敢相信，全包140刀？有这么好的事！他激动地看了Steve一眼，好像生怕宝藏被旁边的人抢了去。
